Simple Fried Flat Noodle

Simple and easy to prepare meal would be what every woman prefer making especially when she's busy and do not have much time. Okay to go to that list I have prepared this Stir fried Flat Noodle, I have added chives, tofu and chicken pieces to this dish. Now let us see how to make this;


Ingredients:
1 pack of flat noodles (fresh ones)
3 pcs of white tofu (cubed)
2 pcs chicken breast (cubed)
5 cloves of garlic (diced)
2 tbsp of chilli sauce
2 tbsp of chilli paste
1 tbsp of light soy sauce (depending on individual preference)
A bunch of chives (cut into 1 inch length)


Heat oil in a a wok


Fry diced garlic once lightly browned add cubed tofu and fry for a couple of minutes


Then add cubed chicken pieces and fry until almost cooked


Add in the chilli paste and chilli sauce to the chicken and tofu, mix evenly


Add in chives and stir together with the other ingredients


Now add the flat noodles and mix well, add in the light soy sauce


Now our Simple Fried Flat Noodles is ready to be served

Carrot & Peas Stir Fried with Tofu


Ingredients:
1 pack of peas
1 carrot (cut as per your preference)
2 fried white tofu
2 tbsp of mushroom sauce
1 tbsp of diced garlic
1 tbsp of oil
Salt to taste

Clean peas and carrot, wash, drain and keep aside.

Heat oil in a wok and fry garlic until fragrant, now add in tofu, peas and carrot stir very quickly. Then add mushroom sauce, salt and stir for another minute. Ready to dish out, do not over cook the veges as it wouldn't taste good.

Now our Carrot and Peas Stir Fried with Tofu is ready to be served.

Soy Sauce Tofu/ Tauhu Kicap



Ingredients:

3 firm white tofu (cubed)
1 tbsp of sweet soy sauce
1 tsp of thick soy sauce
1 tsp of light soy sauce
1 tbsp of chili sauce
5 bird eye chili (slit)
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise
1/4 cup of water
Oil to fry

Lightly fry tofu to golden color, keep aside.

In a pan, heat 1 tbsp of oil add cinnamon stick and star anise fry for a while. Now add chili fry for a minute and add tofu with all three soy sauce and chili sauce. Mix everything well and pour water and let the gravy simmer and thickens.

Taste for seasoning, adjust if needed and now our Soy Sauce Tofu is ready to be served.

Potato and Tofu Spicy Peratal

I have got a very special tofu dish for today, it's Potato andTofu Peratal. This dish was so tasty and very easy to make, it's similar to my Chicken Peratal dish but I didn't add onion or garlic to this dish, you will know if you have read that recipe. Tofu is a very good source of protein as everyone knows, potato is high in carbohydrate so overall this dish a complete meal by itself if you would like to have it on its own.


Let get to the recipe now;

Ingredients:

3 white firm tofu cubed
1 large potato cubed
1 sprig of curry leaves
1 tbsp of curry powder
1 tsp of dry chili powder
1 tsp of ground black pepper
1 tsp soft brown sugar
2 tbsp of roasted grated coconut
1/2 cup of water
1 tsp cumin seed
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise
1 tsp of salt
Oil to fry

Shallow fry potato and tofu until golden and set aside.

In a pan, heat oil add cinnamon stick, cumin seed and star anise, then add curry leaves. Now add in fried tofu and potato, add curry powder, chili powder, brown sugar and water.

Let this mixtures simmer and gravy thickens, add salt and ground black pepper mix well. Finally add in roasted coconut and stir well until gravy completely coats the tofu and potato.

Now our Potato and Tofu Spicy Peratal is ready to be served.

Chicken and Tofu Tom Yum Soup


Ingredients:

1 pc chicken breast (cut thinly)
1 tofu diced
1 onion sliced
1 tomato diced
2 pc bird eye chili (slit)
2 tbsp of tom yum paste
3 cups of water
Salt to taste

In a pan, boil 3 cups of water with tom yum paste. Now add chicken slices and let soup boil until chicken is completely cooked. Then add sliced onion, tomato, tofu, bird eye chili and salt. Let the soup boil for another 10 minutes and it's ready to be served.

Chicken and Tofu Keema

I have served Chicken and Tofu Keema for Chapati, I don't know whether it was a perfect match for Ragi Chapati and Keema but for us it was super delicious. Okay let me share with you all how I made this, it was so easy to make.


Ingredients:

250g minced chicken
2 pcs of white tofu 
2 onion chopped small
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp chili powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp pepper powder
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise
1 bay leaf
1 cup of water
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste

In a pan, heat oil add onion saute until translucent, now add ginger garlic paste, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, star anise stir for a minute then add minced chicken. 

Add tofu and scramble it to small pieces, then add turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala stir well to incorporate masala with chicken and tofu.

Pour 1 cup of water and let the gravy simmer and water evaporates. Finally add pepper powder and salt and let the gravy thickens.


Now our Chicken and Tofu Keema is ready to be served. Do try and let me know how it turned out for you!

Mushroom and Tofu Stir Fry


This is a very simple recipe, come let's check how to cook this.

Ingredients:

5pcs mushroom cut small
1 pack silken tofu
2 tbsp oyster mushroom sauce
1 tsp light soy sauce
3 garlic chopped fine
1 tbsp groundnut oil
5 tbsp of water
1 tbsp corn slurry (1 tsp corn starch+ 1tbsp water)

In a pan, pour oil and add garlic saute a while be very careful not to burn the garlic. Now add in mushroom and silken tofu, scramble the tofu then add in mushroom sauce, light soy sauce, water. Let it simmer for 3 minutes and add corn slurry. Adding corn slurry will make the gravy thicken, now our Mushroom and Tofu Stir Fry is ready to be served.

Tofu Sambal

Tofu or also known as bean curd is an important source of protein especially for vegetarians, it has very low calorie and suitable for people on diet. It can be steamed, fried, stir fried, curry, sambal and many more style of cooking. Today I have made Tofu Sambal, usually this is what we prefer to eat on vegetarian day, it tastes so good if served along with sambar, sothy or any non-spicy dish. Let us look at how I made this dish.



Ingredients:

4pcs firm tofu (cut into triangle)
2 onion sliced
20pcs dry red chili
5 garlic cloves
1 tbsp chili sauce
1 tbsp oyster mushroom sauce
1 tsp soft brown sugar
1 cup water
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste

Shallow fry tofu and keep aside, do not over fry just until golden color. Blend fine dry chili, 1 onion and garlic with a cup of water.

In a pan, pour oil saute balance onion and blended chili mixture, boil until the chili mixture is perfectly cook and raw smell is gone. Now add chili sauce, mushroom sauce, brown sugar and salt until the gravy thickens, Once thicken add fried tofu and let simmer for 10 minutes so that the tofu will immerse in the gravy.

Now our Tofu Sambal is ready to be served. Do try and let me know how it tastes.

Fried Meehoon/ Fried Rice Noodle/Fried Vermicelli


I have prepared very simple dish, Fried Rice Noodle, this dish is quite on the spicy side because we love spicy food. Friends you can adjust the spicy factor in your dish accordingly.

Let's look at the recipe.

Ingredients:

1/2 pck of rice noodle (blanched in hot water)
1 cup of chicken sliced thinly (fry in shallow oil)
10 pcs taupok/ tofu
5 tbsp of chili paste
A handful of dried shrimp (soaked and drained)
1 tbsp thick soy sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
2 onion sliced
5 garlic pods
2 tbsp oil


Blend chili paste, dried shrimp, onion and garlic with some water and keep aside.

In a wok, pour oil and add the blended ingredients and let it simmer, this paste should be cooked well. To this now add fried chicken and taupok, let it cook for 5 minutes. When the chili paste almost thicken add soy sauces stir well and add blanched rice noodle. 

At this point make sure you turn off the flame or at least put in low flame, you don't want to burn the noodles. Mix noodle well with the chicken and chili paste mixture and make sure all the ingredients are well incorporated. Adjust saltiness before serving, now our Fried Rice Noodle is ready to serve.

My style Indian Vegetarian Noodle



I always prefer to cook simple dishes especially on a busy day. Let's look at the recipe for my style fried noodles. Its very simple to prepare and anyone can do it.

Ingredients:

1 pack of yellow noodle
1 stalk of mustard green (optional)
2 pcs white tofu (cut and fried)
10 dry red chili*
5 cloves garlic*
1 onion*
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp dark soy sauce
2 tsp light soy sauce

Blend all the ingredients marked * with little water to form paste and keep aside.

In a wok, pour oil and add the blended ingredients and saute until cooked. Now add fried tofu and mustard green and fry for a couple of minutes. Add in both the soy sauces and mix well and make sure the tofu is well coated.

At this moment, put in the noodles and mix well with the items above. Now our noodle is ready to plate and served. Make sure you have sufficient spice paste so that the noodles well coated with it. If it's too dry you will loose the excellent taste of the paste.
