Cheese Omelette

Ever since I have started on diet, Oh yeah I have never spoke about my diet here...Okay I have been on Atkins diet which is low carbohydrate diet. Actually it's never easy because I love to eat rice, potato and noodles, but I still cook rice and noodles for my husband and my brother. It has been two week since I touched rice and it's never easy but I'm doing it because I'm determined to loose the excess fat I gained after marriage.

Atkins diet involves limited carbohydrate consumption in order to metabolize stored fat in the body, which is called ketosis. So for this diet you can consume high protein diet, which means tofu, chicken, egg, mutton, beef, pork, and some greens. Okay I don't want to bore you all with all this but one thing I can assure you, it really works and the weight loss is remarkable.

Okay now let's go back to the recipe, eating high protein diet is such a boring thing where I have to think of ways to make my meal interesting. I have tried omelette for dinner today, I have added cheese and onion. Let us look at how I made this;

Ingredients:

2 eggs whisked until foamy
1 large onion chopped
3 tbsp of grated cheese
A pinch of salt
A pinch of pepper
1 tsp oil

Mix onion, salt and pepper into beaten eggs.

Pour oil in a frying pan and add in eggs, when the bottom of omelette is almost cooked add in grated cheese on top of it and flip to cook the other side of our omelette. Now our Cheese Omelette is ready to be served.

Do try and let me know how was it...
